Club membership is open to all those who are over the age of 16; the annual subscriptions are £20 for an individual, for 2007, with rates of £32 for families and £11 for concessions.
Around half of the subscription goes to the Mountaineering Council of Scotland, the national body which provides a voice for mountaineering interests. Membership of the MCofS gives third party liability insurance cover for members, and allows the IMC to book huts belonging to other clubs in different parts of the country. We also have occasional discount nights at local climbing shops.
The Club has a pub meet every Thursday evening at 9.30 or thereabouts in Nico’s Bar, Glen Mhor Hotel, Ness Bank, Inverness. There we plan forthcoming weekends and discuss recent mountaineering deeds.
